If you are planning to get pregnant or are pregnant, the safest approach is not to drink alcohol at all. There is evidence to suggest that alcohol can negatively impact on both women and men's fertility. Stopping drinking alcohol before pregnancy may increase your chances of conceiving. Drinking alcohol when you are pregnant increases the risk of long term harm to your baby. The more you drink, the greater the risk so it is advised to not drink alcohol when you are pregnant. There is no safe time or safe amount of alcohol to drink during pregnancy.
