Radiology
The radiology department provides a comprehensive diagnostic and interventional radiology service at the Countess of Chester Hospital and at our Community Diagnostic Centre in Ellesmere Port Hospital.
The department is a teaching centre, with links to the University of Wales, The University of Liverpool. and cumbria University. We have under-graduate radiography students working with us, and they may help undertake your examination. You can read more about this here.

Radiology clinical imaging systems department
Radiology and other diagnostic departments capture images. These images are then stored within a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). PACS is a centralised computer-based system which makes storing and distributing patient data easier and more economical than previous methods. This system is not only used for the storage of images and exams, but consultant radiologists and others can use it to report their findings from the images.
Community Diagnostic Centre
The Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) is located at Ellesmere Port Hospital. The CDC acts as a one-stop-shop for diagnostic testing, with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), ultrasound and x-rays.
