Here at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we are proud to offer high-quality maternity services with a person-centred focus.

We support approximately 2,300 expectant families a year who come to us from across Chester, Ellesmere Port and the surrounding areas including North Wales.

How we support you

If you’ve just discovered you’re expecting a baby, The Countess of Chester Hospital maternity team are here to support you, your baby and your family during and after your pregnancy.

We offer a wide range of accessible maternity care in community settings, including midwifery led care, for those with uncomplicated pregnancies, and specialist services for those with more complex needs who require a multi professional approach.

Your care will be provided by staff that strive to reflect our trust values of being safe, kind and effective in everything that we do.

How to have your baby with us

Expectant parents are now able to easily self-refer using a smartphone and simply by scanning a QR code. To complete the online booking form you can access the form here.

You will need to have your NHS number to hand and our team will then contact you – there’s no need to contact your GP to access our maternity care services.
