      Statement in response to Cheshire Police corporate manslaughter investigation

      On October 4 2023, it was announced that Cheshire Constabulary will be launching an investigation into corporate manslaughter at the Countess of Chester Hospital, relating to the period of Lucy Letby’s crimes during 2015 and 2016. The investigation will focus on the period of Lucy Letby’s crimes from June 2015 to June 2016 and consider areas including senior leadership and decision making to determine whether any criminality has taken place. ...Read more

      From 7am on Monday, October 2, hospital consultants and junior doctors will begin a three-day strike until 7am on Thursday, October 5, and The Society of Radiographers will join them from 8am on Tuesday, October 3 until 8am on Wednesday, October 4.       The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised as one of the top-performing Trusts in England for children’s patient experience, ranking 9th out of the 54 organisations that took part in the 2024 Children and Young Person National CQC Survey.
