Learning, Education and Development
Our people are very important to us, without them, we cannot achieve our goals and objectives. Every single member of staff is important and plays a vital role in the delivery of excellent care to our patients. A significant number of our staff have worked with us for a large part of their career and we feel it is important to value and reward that loyalty and dedication with great development opportunities.
It doesn’t matter what job you do, what level you’re at or what age you are, it’s never too late to develop your skills or learn something new and develop to your full potential.
As an employer we firstly have a duty to our staff and our patients to ensure all statutory and mandatory training obligations are met. Ongoing compliance with these is essential before we can support further development. Staff who are up to date with statutory and mandatory training, will have access to a range of opportunities to support in keeping their skills up to date and at the forefront of developments in health and social care. These include vocational courses, work-based learning, degree and post-graduate qualifications, as well as bespoke CPD programmes.
Our ethos is that of continuous learning, education and development; as we all know nothing stands still and the only way we can try to keep pace with the constant change is to be open to new opportunities and new ways of working. With that in mind all learning, development and education must support safety, clinical outcomes and the patient experience.
