      New collaborative service which helps patients return home from hospital launches at Countess of Chester Hospital

       A new service that supports getting medically fit people in Cheshire West and Chester out of hospital and back home has officially launched at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.       Countess of Chester and Ellesmere Port hospitals resume normal visiting following successful flu prevention measures

      Published: 2 February 2024 The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is lifting temporary visiting restrictions at both the Countess of Chester and Ellesmere Port hospitals with immediate effect following a drop in flu cases in the local community.       Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust temporarily pauses visiting due to increase in patients with influenza

      In response to an increase in the number of patients being admitted to the Countess of Chester Hospital with influenza, the Trust took the decision to temporarily pause visiting on Wednesday, January 24. Visiting restrictions were lifted on 2 February 2024.  The Trust took this action because it saw a notable increase in the number of patients attending our Emergency Department (A&E) and testing positive for influenza. ...Read more
