      NHS Cheshire and Merseyside launches consultation on proposed changes to fertility treatment policies

      Shared on behalf of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside by the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board (ICB) has launched a six-week public consultation on proposed changes to local fertility treatment policies, running from 3 June – 15 July 2025. Currently, there are ten separate policies for Cheshire and Merseyside, which means that eligible people have varying access to NHS-funded fertility treatment, depending on where they live. ...Read more

      The Milk Bank at Chester shortlisted for the NHS Wales Sustainability Awards in the Sustainability Network or Community category

      The North Wales Neonatal Network Donor Milk Hub (a collaboration of organisations including The Milk Bank at Chester) has been shortlisted for the NHS Wales Sustainability Awards in the Sustainability Network or Community category. The North Wales Neonatal Service Donor Milk Hub, which opened at Glan Clwyd in September 2024, brings donor milk to families at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Ysbyty Gwynedd, and Wrexham Maelor Hospital, cutting down delivery miles and making milk access faster and more sustainable. ...Read more

      Successful liver cancer screening service continues to expand

      More people in West Cheshire and Ellesmere Port are finding out about the health of their liver earlier, thanks to the continued expansion of liver disease screening that’s being provided by the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
