      Our Infection Prevention and Control Team today (27 May) welcomed the Infection Prevention Society’s hand hygiene torch as it continues its tour of the UK and Ireland.       A bonny baby boy named Charlie has become the first child to be welcomed into the world in brand new facilities here at the Countess.       Pictorial menus give patients a helping hand

      Patients with communication difficulties can now use a Pictorial Menu to order their food at the Countess of Chester Hospital. The menu, which features images of fresh food cooked daily on site, has been launched across all wards at the Countess and Ellesmere Port hospitals. Food First Dietitian Victoria Forrest, who worked to drive the introduction of the menu alongside the catering department, believes it will make a real difference. ...Read more
