Rewarding Our Staff
We want to acknowledge and thank you staff for going above and beyond for our patients.
Each month, staff can nominate colleagues to receive the employee of the month award or the team of the month award in recognition of the support they have given to our patients, services or to their colleagues.
Staff can also nominate themselves or others in our annual Celebration of Achievement Awards which take place each September.
Patients, visitors and staff can nominate someone from our hospitals for a monthly award.
Why we reward our staff
We want our staff to feel valued in their work and we want to create a positive culture of excellence to help us maintain the highest standards of care in our hospitals.

September
Employee of the month: Mariya Joseph, Transfusion Nurse
Mariya has worked really hard to help wards achieve transfusion compliance and to promote safe practice. The ward complaince improved from 45% to 90%. she is one of the most hard working staff her team have ever seen.
Team of the month: Clinical Solutions and Data Warehouse Team
The team diligently prepared for the epr+ upgrade, working above and beyond to ensure the system was safe. The programme manager who nominated them said "I feel really proud and supported to have such a hardworking team".

Employee of the month: Georgia Fennel, Patient Pathway Manager
Georgia was nominated for being constant in her support of the whole team; she goes above and beyond to make sure the team are all ok mentally and is so understanding and caring whilst still remaining professional.

Employee of the month: Hannah Hughes, Orthopaedic Therapy Team Leader
Hannah was nominated by colleagues for being an effective and efficient team leader and because of her day-to-day demeanour and her ability to remain calm in challenging situations. Hannah supports staff to feel confident, competent, supported and valued.
Team of the month: Cardiology Day Suite
The Cardiology Day Suite team was nominated by colleagues for making a positive difference to the lives of our patients and for making them feel safe, cared for and listen to. The team have been praised for how well they work together and for the excellent care they provide in in difficult circumstances.
