NHS Cheshire and Merseyside, established on July 1st 2022, holds responsibility for planning local NHS services, including those previously provided by Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) – such as primary care, community and hospital services.
The organisation aims to bring health and care organisations closer together to improve health services for the 2.7 million residents it serves.
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is one of the largest Integrated Care Boards in England, formed under NHS reforms brought about by the 2022 Health and Care Act.
